I worked with Dr. Mark Cucuzzella and the WVU Center for Diabetes and Metabolic Health for 2 years prior to coming to my current position. I have been eating low-carb myself for 5 years and the majority of my patients with insulin resistance manage their disease with diet alone or + metformin. I have previously utilized the Real Meal Revolution food list as a primary resource for teaching my patients, but anticipate switching to Diet Doctor as a primary resource. I teach FM resident physicians and created a required nutrition rotation in our program that serves as an intro to LCHF.
