I have recently passed the ABOM exam and have been deeply fascinated with lifestyle and dietary interventions in obesity medicine. The growing obesity epidemic over the past 40+ years truly highlights the serious metabolic effects of energy-dense, ultra-refined high carbohydrate diets that is being manifested in insulin resistance and visceral obesity that I see every day in practice. I was highly impressed with Dr. Westman's lecture about keto diets and their ability to CURE T2DM and generally various components of metabolic disease. Dr. Jeremiah Eisenschenk is mentoring me and I am highly impressed with the effects of keto diets on patients!
